The Director General of SBC Somali TV and Deputy Chairman of the Media Association of Puntland (MAP), Mr. Mohamed Dek Abdalla, chaired a major meeting focused on the development of media and journalism in Puntland.
The meeting brought together journalists, media directors, and journalists’ associations to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation among media organizations and uphold journalistic ethics.
During the meeting, Mohamed Dek Abdalla stated that Somali media requires stronger coordination and continuous professional development in order to provide reliable and trustworthy news to the public.
The Director General of SBC Somali TV also emphasized the importance of providing modern training opportunities for young journalists so they can keep pace with the rapid advancement of digital media.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among media organizations in Puntland.
